We collect the following categories of data, tied directly to the features you use:

• Account data: your name, email address, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
• CV content: the personal details, education, work experience, and skills you enter while using the CV Builder.
• Uploaded files: CV files you upload, and generated CV, cover letter, and interview report PDFs, stored in secure cloud file storage.
• Job search activity: the search queries you run, the job results shown to you, and which jobs you click on or apply to.
• Interview practice data: your answers to practice interview questions and the scores generated from them.
• Usage statistics: counts such as searches performed, CVs built, interviews practiced, and applications completed.

3. Why we process this data

We use this data to provide the core service — matching you to jobs, building your CV, generating tailored applications, and running interview practice — to maintain your Dashboard history so you can track your activity, and to improve the quality of our job matching over time.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of your consent (given at registration) and because processing is necessary to perform the service you've asked us to provide (contract performance) — for example, we cannot match you to jobs without your search criteria, and we cannot build your CV without the content you enter.

5. Third parties we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share data with the following categories of service providers, only as needed to operate the features you use:

• AI language processing providers, used to analyze CV content, generate interview questions, and produce job match scores.
• Job search data providers, used to retrieve publicly available job listings.
• Cloud database and file storage providers, used to store your account data, activity history, and generated files.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with your Google/Gmail account.

6. International data transfers

Some of the processing carried out by the categories of providers listed above may take place outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for cross-border transfers. We disclose this honestly here rather than naming specific companies, since providers can change over time.

7. Data retention

Your job search history and account activity are retained for as long as your account remains active. Files you generate or upload (CVs, cover letters, interview reports) are stored in secure cloud storage and accessed only through time-limited, authenticated links — they are not publicly accessible.

8. Cookies and local storage

JoberMan uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in (your auth token), remember your language preference, and remember your light/dark theme preference. These are functional and essential to the service only — we do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

9. Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you — most of it is already visible in your Dashboard.
• Rectify inaccurate data — update your details directly where the product allows it.
• Delete your data. Full account deletion is not yet available as a self-service option in the current version of JoberMan — please email us via the Contact page to request deletion and we will process it manually.
• Port your data to another provider in a structured format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
